Yu Miaojie, alumnus of our school, is appointed the President of Liaoning University, a "double first-class" university

On August 13th, 2022, Liaoning University held a cadre meeting in the academic lecture hall of the office building of Puhe Campus. Sun Hongwei - Deputy Director of Organization Department of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Director of Provincial Civil Service Bureau, announced the decision of the Provincial Party Committee and delivered a speech.

The Liaoning Provincial Party Committee has decided to appoint Comrade Yu Miaojie as a member of the Party Committee, Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary and President of Liaoning University (one-year probationary period).

Yu Miaojie, male, Han nationality, born in June 1976, majored in International Accounting of the School of Business, Sun Yat-Sen University, with Master's degree, Doctor's degree, a member of the Communist Party of China, and is currently the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Liaoning University.

Distinguished Youth Scholars of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Distinguished Professor of the National Key Talent Program of the Ministry of Education, Outstanding Youth Scientist in Beijing, Boya Distinguished Professor of Peking University, and member of the Economic and Trade Policy Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Commerce.

Main research fields are international trade, world economy and China's economic development. More than 150 papers have been published in top and first-class economics journals at home and abroad, as well as 15 Chinese and English monographs, textbooks, and commentary essays.
