Our School Won Multiple Commendations in the "July 1" Commendation Ceremony Held in Sun Yat-sen University Celebrating the Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China

On the afternoon of June 30th, the "July 1" Commendation Ceremony celebrating the Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China was held by our university in Liang Qiuju Hall, South Campus, Guangzhou Campus. Representatives of faculties and students of the School of Business attended the ceremony, and the Party Committee of the school organized faculties and students to watch the live video of the ceremony at the sub venues.

On behalf of the school’s Party Committee, Chen Chunsheng - Secretary of the school’s Party Committee, paid high tribute to the veterans of our university who received the "50-year Party membership" commemorative medals this year, as well as the Party members who have worked hard and dedicated to the development of the university, expressed warm congratulations to the commended advanced Party organizations and outstanding individuals, and extended holiday greetings to all Party members at the same time.

Luo Jun - Deputy Secretary of the university’s Party Committee and President, announced the commendation decision. In which, Professor Li Xuerou, Professor Li Xinchun, Professor Cao Chunfang, Faculty Yan Danhong, Xiao Xionghui (doctoral student), Zhang Ruiyao (doctoral student), Cheng Linfeng (master student), Su Yingqian (master student), Du Zhijiao (master student), Qiu Tianqi (master student), Zhang Anping (undergraduate), Chen Ziye (Undergraduate) of our school were selected as outstanding Communist Party members; Xie Manhua - Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chen Rongrong - member of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Administrative Party Branch, were awarded the outstanding Party Affairs Workers of the University; The first Party Branch of undergraduates was awarded the university’s advanced Party Branch.

The ceremony was divided into three chapters: "Centenary's Aspiration", "Centenary's Journey" and "Centenary's Dream", showing the deeds of outstanding representatives. The faculties and students sang and danced, praising the Party’s centenary's glorious struggle, expressing Sun Yat-sen people’s great love for the Party, and their most sincere and beautiful wishes to the centenary of the Communist Party of China.

This ceremony specially arranged the admission oath of the CPC, which was solemn and sacred, and held simultaneously at the main venue and the sub-venues. Secretary Chen Chunsheng led oath on stage. Representatives of the new Party members took the admission oath of the CPC, and all the audience stood up to review the oath. Professor Wu Chenguang - a newly-developed Party member representatives of faculty and staff of our school, student Party member representatives Yin Xiang, Fu Yurong, Liu Ziqi, Xu Jinfang, Chen Sheng, Chen Kengchun, and Huang Junqin took solemn oaths at the scene.

At the end of the ceremony, everyone in the audience sang the chorus of the song "Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China.", and the venue was filled with passionate and heroic singing.

Sub-venue of the School of Business

The School of Business organized faculties and students to watch the live broadcast of the "July 1" Commendation Ceremony celebrating the Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China. The ceremony was held by our university in three sub-venues, including S221 of Shansi Hall in South Campus, D206 and D305 of the School of Business in East Campus.

Party members at the sub-venues and the ones at the main venue simultaneously held the admission oath ceremony.

The faculties and students attending the ceremony were full of excitement, and they all expressed that they would follow the advanced examples, learn from the commended advanced Party organizations and Party members, make unremitting efforts in all their work, and make new contributions to the development of university, school and disciplines.
