Professor Xiao Jinghua of Our School Put Forward the Idea of a New Model of Decision-making for the Intelligent Network Organization

Recently, Professor Xiao Jinghua (corresponding author), Professor Xie Kang and their collaborators published a paper Data Analytics Contributes to Better Decision Making Beyond Organizational Boundaries in MIS Quarterly Executive, an important journal for corporate management practice in the field of Management Information System (MIS). It puts forward the idea of a new model of decision-making for the intelligent network organization, and has enhanced the influence of China's digital management practice in the field of international information system practice.

The paper extracts two aspects of management ideas by revealing the law of the combination of organizational networking and intelligence: Firstly, it's the first to put forward the management idea of a new organization model "Intelligent Network Organization", demonstrating its connotation, characteristics and advantages, which makes up for the deficiency of existing network organization research, and expands the empowerment of big data from internal to the network level; Secondly, it proposes the idea of a new model of decision-making for intelligent network organization, emphasizes that intelligent network organization is not only a change of organizational form, but also represents a profound change of organizational system.
