2020 China Business School Dean and Secretary Leadership High-end Dialogue Ended Successfully
From December 4th to 6th, 2020, the "2020 China Business School Dean and Secretary Leadership High-end Dialogue" hosted by the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University was grandly held in Shenzhen. A number of deans and secretaries from well-know business schools in the country, and related experts and scholars were invited to participate in the conference, gathering together to have in-depth interactive discussions on the strategic planning, discipline construction, talent cultivation and ideological and political education in curriculum, and the promotion of education innovation by science and technology, etc.
On December 5th, Dean Wang Fan of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. He expressed his warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the guests. He hoped that all the deans and secretaries could work together for common development, and wished that the China Business Schools Deans and Secretaries Forum would be better and better in the future and provide more exchange opportunities for the deans and secretaries of business schools.
Afterwards, Professor Wang Fan - Dean of the School of Business, Sun Yat-Sen University, Professor Wei Jiang - Dean of the School of Management, Zhejiang University, and Professor Li Wenjing - Dean of the School of Management, Jinan University, respectively shared their ideas on the themes of "The 14th Five-Year Plan of the School of Business, Sun Yat-Sen University" "The future is now. Will traditional business schools be overturned? - Faculty building" "Some thoughts on research of Business Administration".
In the group dialogue session in the morning, the deans and secretaries were divided into three groups. Each group had in-depth exchanges on "strategy and disciplines" and "faculty and research". The deans and secretaries aired their own views in a warm atmosphere, and jointly made suggestions for the development of China Business Schools. After the dialogue, the conveners of each group: Professor Feng Gengzhong - Dean of the School of Management, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Professor Ma Yongkai - Dean of the School of Management and Economics, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Professor Tang Ningyu of the Management School of Hainan University, made summaries respectively.
In the afternoon, Professor Huang Lihua of the School of Management, Fudan University, and Secretary Meng Yan of the School of Management, Harbin Institute of Technology, respectively shared their ideas on the themes of "the organic integration of ideological and political education in curriculum and professional cultivation: the practice experience of the course of Management Information System" and "Internal Governance and Cultural Construction".
In the group dialogue session in the afternoon, the deans and secretaries were re-divided into three groups to discuss on "ideological and political education in curriculum and professional cultivation" and "Internal Governance and Cultural Construction". The deans and secretaries brainstormed, exchanged practical experience of their respective schools and explored the talent cultivation modes and internal governance of China business schools. Secretary Xie Manhua of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University, Secretary Yuan Jianhong of the School of Economics and Management, Southeast University, and Secretary Ji Xiaoqing of the School of Management, Shandong University, made summaries respectively.
On December 6th, 2020 China Business School Dean and Secretary Leadership High-end Dialogue: Technological Change and Business School Education was successfully held in Tencent Building of Binhai. The deans and secretaries gathered at Tencent to discuss the future development trend of the education industry and the innovative model of business integration. Xu Zhangliang - Business General Manager of South China District of Tencent Education, Nian Hongzhi - Chief Architect of Tencent Education, Zhang Jingkai - Senior Product Management of Tencent Meeting, and Yang Chao - Senor Consultant of Tencent Lexiang, shared their views respectively.
Next, Professor Fu Hui of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University shared her views on the topic of "Strategic Leadership in the Era of Digital Economy". Starting from three aspects: why strategic leadership is needed, strategic leadership in the digital era, and leadership and team management, combining with typical cases, she discussed with everyone how to carry out effective management.
Finally, Dean Wang Fan of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University, gave a "thank you" speech at the closing ceremony. He expressed his sincere gratitude for the strong support from domestic business schools peers and Tencent, and hoped that he could invite everyone to exchange experience and jointly explore the construction and development of China business schools in the future.
