Our School Team Won Multiple Awards in the 15th Xuanzang's Road Business School Gobi Challenge

In early October, the 15th Xuanzang's Road Business School Gobi Challenge (hereinafter referred to as G15) ended successfully. The EMBA G-Team representative team of the School of Business won the 10th place in the EMBA group, the Xuanzang's Road Excellence Award and the Shackleton Award.

The EMBA Education Center of the School of Business invited Professor Chen Zhaohui - Ph.D. from Columbia University to set up a two-day "Team Spirit and Leadership" course for representatives of the competition. This is the first time the School of Business has set up a mobile classroom on the Gobi Desert. Everyone had a lively discussion on the topic of "Gobi Leadership".

Braving the low temperature, fierce wind, sandstorm and other harsh environments, representatives of G-Team traveled through the Gobi and marsh, carried flags and pitching tents. Adhering to the talent cultivation goal of "shaping the business talents who have both ability and moral integrity, able to cultivate charisma and eager to serve their country", and carrying forward SYSU’s motto spirit as "Study broadly, enquire solicitously, think critically, discern judiciously, and act prudently", the team spent four days and three nights walking through over 120 kilometers of Gobi, stepping along the icy water of streams, climbing over the mountains, and kept moving forward.

G15 has ended, and there is still a long way to go in life. People of the School of Business will continue to work hard in future and achieve a better self, inscribing their attitude of "acting prudently" in the desert and inheriting the spirit of the School of Business.
