On September 29, the Symposium on Academic Papers (the 6th Session) of Modern Accounting and Finance Research Center, Sun Yat-sen University and The Accounting Governance System Innovation Research Team, School of Business was successfully held at M301 of Shansi Hall of our school.

 

First, Assistant Professor Zhang Xinyi reported his working paper with Professor Luo Mei of Tsinghua University and Professor Frank Zhang of Yale University "Earnings Management via Not-wholly-owned Subsidiaries".

Zhao Jing - academic master, reported her working paper with associate professor Cao Chunfang ""The Governance Effect of Staff Directors: Production and Consequences".

 

At last, Associate Professor Cao Chunfang summarized the symposium and encouraged the students to actively participate in the academic discussion. The participating faculties expressed their hope that the academic exchange opportunities between faculties and students could be increased through the academic symposium, so as to cultivate the students' research quality and academic thinking ability.
