"Cultivate Talents of the World with Our 30 Years' Heritage" - Highlights of the Second "International Month" Series of Activities of the School of Business, Sun Yat-Sen University

From October to December 2019, the School of Business held the second “International Month” series of activities “Cultivate Talents of the World with Our 30 Years' Heritage”. The event was hosted by the Student Affairs and Career Development Office of the School of Business and organized by the Student Union. It was strongly supported by the Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee of Sun Yat-Sen University and attracted more than 500 students to participate.

Academic Week

 

Learning and Sharing Exchange Meeting of Students of the School of Business: On November 20, 2019, three student representatives shared their experiences on different topics. Through mutual academic assistance and experience sharing among peers, students have gained experience guidance and suggestions on targeted course learning methods to adapt to university study and life.

The 15th "Face-to-face with Management Masters" Academic Forum: On November 29, 2019, Professor Lu Yadong of the University of Miami, based on the development trend of the times, combined with the research direction and students' interests, brought everyone a vivid and wonderful academic feast entitled "Why should our students cultivate strategic vision?".

Business Week

 

Visit to Yangcheng Evening News Creative Industry Park: On October 29, 2019, faculties and students of our school went to the Yangcheng Evening News Creative Industry Park for a visit, which deepened the students’ understanding on the persistence and innovation of China’s enterprises and the China’s e-commerce industry, to combine theory with practice to walk the talk.

Visit to Keda Industrial Group Co., Ltd.: On the afternoon of October 31, 2019, a team of faculties and students from our school visited Keda Industrial Group Co., Ltd., which deepened their understanding of China’s private enterprises and gave them confidence in the development and globalization of China’s private enterprises.

Culture week

 

Special cultural education activities for students: From November 29 to December 1, 2019, faculties and students of our school went to Chongqing to for a three-day special education activities in the form of experiential learning, which allows students to have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the long history and culture of China, feel the brilliant civilization of China, and the development achievements of China today.

Chinese Traditional Culture Experience Day: On December 1, 2019, the "Chinese Traditional Culture Experience Day" activity led students to learn about Guangzhou from the aspects of history and culture, urban construction, and special cuisine, etc. It showed the name card of the city and the heritage and charm of the millennium commercial capital, which allows students to experience the new achievements of China's reform and opening up in the long history of Lingnan.

Sports week

 

Friendly match of football and basketball: On November 24, 2019, the friendly match of football and basketball was held at the south campus of Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, providing a platform for many players to make friends with the game. The players gained happiness and friendship in the game.

Exchange Week

 

International Exchange Program Open Day: On November 28, 2019, the International Exchange Program Open Day was officially held at S131, Shanheng Hall, South Campus, Guangzhou Campus of Sun Yat-sen University. Representatives of faculties and students of our school shared and introduced the current status of international cooperation, international exchange programs, exchange of learning experience, and application guidance, etc.

Food and Culture Festival: On December 15, 2019, the Food and Culture Festival was successfully held in Shansi Hall of the School of Business. Students from ethnic minorities such as North Korea and Tujia, as well as students from Germany, Myanmar, Cambodia and other countries came to share their unique culture.
