Recently, Dean Wang Fan of our school was invited to lead a delegation to visit Australia and participated in the "Shaping the Future of Business and Education - Cross-border Thinking Leadership Forum" and related exchange activities jointly organized with the School of Management, Macquarie University.
Develop Comprehensive Research on Cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
Dean Wang Fan of our school gave a speech and said that the cooperation forum has opened a new page for the two parties to comprehensively develop comprehensive research on cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Both parties will focus on the fields of health care, innovation and entrepreneurship, and FinTech, and explore the research on the cross-border flow and regional integration of innovative elements which are in favor of talent, capital, information, technology and other innovative elements, etc., to contribute the wisdom of business schools for the construction and sustainable development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, thus promoting the friendship and cooperation between China and Australia.
Stephan Brammer - Executive Dean of the School of Management, Macquarie University, extended a warm welcome to the visit of Dean Wang Fan and his delegation. He pointed out that innovation, financial services, health care, commerce, and logistics are the core areas of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He hopes that the two schools will strengthen research cooperation to jointly respond to the opportunities and challenges brought by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and jointly produce more research results with good economic and social benefits, which plays an important role in promoting the development of human capital and productivity in the region.
Building Bridge for Research Cooperation with the Link of Academic Exchange
Professor Fu Hui, Associate Professor Liang Jianping, Associate Professor Wei Lijian, Associate Professor Zhao Huimin, Associate Professor Wu Chenguang, and Assistant Professor Zhuo Xiaopo of our school gave keynote reports respectively on FinTech and innovation and entrepreneurship, and pointed out the opportunities and challenges for the research in view of the current situation at home and abroad and the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. After the meeting, the two sides had a lively discussion.
Make In-depth Exchanges, And Seek Win-win Cooperation
In addition to participating in the cooperation forum, the delegation of our school also visited the financial laboratory of the School of Management, Macquarie University, and held talks on the research cooperation, joint cultivation of doctoral students, and exchange visits between faculties and students. The two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the direction of future cooperation, and put forward a number of feasible plans for research cooperation and two-way exchanges between faculties and students.
