2019 SYSBS-IVEY National Business Case Competition Was Successfully Held

On November 23, the 2019 SYSBS-IVEY National Business Case Competition officially kicked off. The competition was co-hosted by the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University and the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, organized by the Chen Ruiqiu Asia-Pacific Case Development and Research Center of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University and the Asian Case Centre of Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, and co-organized by the Case Club of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University and the Asian Alumni Association of Richard Ivey School of Business. The competition's divided into two rounds: preliminary (on-line review and live demonstration) and final. Seven teams from seven domestic top universities were invited to the event, such as Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Nanjing University, Nankai University, South China University of Technology and Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen).

 

On the 23rd, the teams from Sun Yat-sen University, Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Nanjing University and Nankai University advanced to the final four.

 

 

On the 24th, the top four teams took the stage to show everyone their final results. During the defense session, the interactive exchanges between the contestants and the judges showed their unique insights into the case.

In the end, Sun Yat-sen University team won the championship and also the Best Popularity Award with outstanding performance. The Nanjing University team, Nankai University team and Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) team won the second prize, Tsinghua University team, Fudan University team, and South China University of Technology team won the third prize. The guests presented awards to the winners and took group photos.
