Professor Chen Guoqiang of Business School Was Awarded the "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" Commemorative Medal
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC). As the country celebrates, the Central Committee of Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Central Military Commission decided to award the "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of The Founding of The People's Republic of China" commemorative medals to comrades who have made important contributions to the founding of the PRC and the socialist modernization. Professor Chen Guoqiang, a retired faculty of our school, was awarded the medal.
Professor Chen Guoqiang is one of the team members who participated in the establishment of the Business School, Sun Yat-sen University, and was the former Deputy Dean of the Business School (first term). He has always been concerned about the youth, encouraged younger scholars and students to be diligent and frugal, and imparted knowledge and good moral character to students.
As a veteran party member, he has witnessed the rapid changes of the motherland. Teacher Chen loves this land affectionately, and dedicates himself with enthusiasm in his post. He believes that education has a great impact on individuals, and his growth cannot be separated from the education of home, school and party. Therefore, he also devotes his whole life to the education work and makes unremitting efforts for it. He earnestly stated that as a party member, the most important thing in life is whether or not the mission from organization is fulfilled, and to make unremitting efforts for a lifetime's faith for this one thing.
Teacher Chen hopes that the teachers will give more positive guidance to the students and help them grow up healthily. He also wishes the Business School develop better and better, shoulder the responsibility of the times, and cultivate the country's pillars.
