The 2019 Guangdong Social Science Academic Annual Conference Was Successfully Held in the Business School of Sun Yat-sen University
On October 26, the 2019 Guangdong Social Science Academic Annual Conference was held in the Business School, South Campus of Guangzhou. The conference was hosted by the Guangdong Federation of Social Sciences and Sun Yat-sen University, and organized by the Business School of Sun Yat-Sen University, Advanced Institute of Finance, Sun Yat-sen University, Academic Research Magazine and South Think Tank. More than 180 experts, scholars and postgraduates from the Guangdong Federation of Social Sciences, universities within and outside the province, research institutes, and financial institutions participated.
The Conference Site
Liu Zhengchun - deputy secretary of the party committee of the Guangdong Federation of Social Science Circles, congratulated the convening of this annual conference. He pointed out that the "Development Plan for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" and the construction of Shenzhen's demonstration pilot zone for socialism with Chinese characteristics, have made a grand blueprint for Guangdong's future and described the bright prospect of high-quality development in the new era.
In his speech, Li Shanmin - vice president, expressed warm welcome to the experts and scholars, briefly introduced the school-running pattern of "Three School Districts and Five Campuses" and the basic situation of research, and encouraged researchers and students to contribute to the local economic development. Later, Li Shanmin - vice president, delivered a keynote speech titled "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era - The Practice in Guangdong".
Nie Linkun - deputy director of the Guangzhou Local Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau, gave a key note speech titled "Thoughts on Guangzhou's Co-construction of The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Financial Hub and Promotion of High-quality Development”, and systematically explained the relevant financial policies in the Development Plan for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from development strategy, plan and layout aspects.
In the afternoon, at the outstanding papers presentation presided over by professor Zhu Shushang of the Business School, Sun Yat-sen University, eight outstanding papers authors discussed and exchanged thoughts on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao cooperation, the analysis of urban radiation effects in the Greater Bay Area, financial support policy innovation, green financial development, sharing economy model innovation, value of the era of Sino-us trade negotiations, antitrust regulation of information exchange, and the alienation of the Phillips curve, etc. The presentation was wonderful and the atmosphere was warm. The faculties and students benefited a lot.
The conference has promoted the exchange and cooperation of theoretical and practical research in the financial field of Guangdong Province, promoted the progress of research level in financial-related fields, and provided theoretical and intellectual support for the realization of the goals of the "13th Five-Year Plan" period in Guangdong Province.
