The 2019 SYSBS Workshop on FinTech Ends Successfully
From April 26th to 27th, the 2019 SYSBS Workshop on FinTech was grandly held at the Big Data Center of Business School, south campus of Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou. The workshop was hosted by the Business School, Sun Yat-sen University, with academic support from the International Journal of Financial Engineering and the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. The workshop aims to build a communication platform for scholars and experts with different academic backgrounds and engaged in FinTech, to promote the research and development of FinTech in the crossing fields of finance and new technologies.
Dean Wang Fan gave a speech. Starting from the history of the Business School, Sun Yat-sen University and the development of Business Administration discipline, he introduced the research and development of the Business School in the field of FinTech, and also introduced the project of the NSFC - Guangdong Big Data Science Research Center "Intelligent Early Warning and Prevention and Control System for Local Financial Security Based on Big Data".
Professor Wang Fan - dean of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University, gave an opening speech.
Experts and scholars from universities and enterprises shared research projects and results related to FinTech at the workshop, and discussed in-depth the research and development of FinTech in the crossing field of new technologies, analyzed the modeling, algorithm and data analysis of several important problems of the big data, artificial intelligence and block chain and other technologies, in terms of financial market systematic risk measure, financial market asset pricing, public offering equity network, corporate financial fraud, market liquidity crisis, ultra high dimensional heterogeneous data integration, small and medium-sized enterprises credit loan, supply chain finance, bank credit risk management, inclusive finance risk control and internet financial risk control, and also discussed the important role of the FinTech and regulatory technology in promoting financial innovation and risk prevention and control in the context of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
The workshop came to a close in warm applause at 7PM on 27th. Professor Yuan Xianzhi - chairman of the meeting, made a closing speech. Professor Yuan said that the workshop was an important exploration of the FinTech innovation and development by the Business School, Sun Yat-sen University. He hoped that everyone could continue exchanges, promote mutual progress to provide more theoretical support for the FinTech research and development.
