Our School Won the “Advanced Unit Award” and “Advanced Individual Award” for 2018 Alumni Work and Fund Work

On the evening of January 20th, the 2019 Sun Yat-sen University New Year's Eve Party and Alumni Work and Fund Work Awards ceremony were held at the south campus of Leung Kau Kui Building. Our school won the "2018 Alumni Work and Fund Work Advanced Unit Award", and teacher Liang Wenwen, from alumni affairs of the party and government office of our school, won the "2018 Alumni Work and Fund Work Advanced Individual Award".

In this award ceremony, a total of 11 units won the “Advanced Unit Award”, 2 units won the “Progress Award”, and 10 comrades won the “Advanced Individual Award”.

Sun Dongbai, executive vice president of Sun Yat-sen University, on behalf of all the teachers and students of the university, expressed his sincere gratitude to all the alumni and people from all walks of life who have supported, cared for and helped the development of Sun Yat-sen University. He said that the alumni at home and abroad are the precious wealth of Sun Yat-sen University, the practitioners and disseminators inheriting the university spirit and educational philosophy, the most solid and reliable strength and support, and the alumni work of "gathering people, wisdom and resources" is an important part of the university's connotative and sustainable development. He hopes that the alumni and fund work of Sun Yat-sen University will take the 95th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen University founded by Mr. Sun Yat-sen as a new starting point, and take the opportunity to start a new journey. Finally, he sent his New Year wishes to the alumni at home and abroad.

This award is a high recognition from our university for the 2018 alumni work and fund work by our school and teacher Liang Wenwen. It is also a high recognition for the alumni's giving back to the Alma mater and the support of the university's and school's development. Alumni work has become an important part of the university's connotation construction, and it is also one of the standards to measure the quality of university's talent cultivation and construction. Our school attaches great importance to the alumni work. At present, we have alumni branches in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Yunnan and other places, aiming to gather all strength from all sides, strengthen the exchange and communication between alumni, enhance the cohesion and centripetal force of alumni, and promote together the mutual improvement of alumni and Alma mater.
