The School of Business successfully hosted the 8th “Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Financial Technology Conference”
Fueled by the ongoing digital transformation, frontiertechnologies such as large-scale models and generative artificial intelligence are increasingly being integrated into financial applications, driving profound changes in the financial industry at an unprecedented pace. The 8th “Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Financial TechnologyConference”, hosted by the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University, was successfully held on October 18-19, 2025, at the East Campusof Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou.
Centered on the themes of large-scale models, generative artificial intelligence, and fin-tech, this conference is part of a series of academic events commemorating the 40th anniversary of the founding of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University. It brought together over 120 scholars from leading national institutions, including Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, Xiamen University, Tianjin University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In addition, the main forum was live-streamed to an online audience of approximately 145,000 viewers. These figures not only demonstrate the broadimpactof the conference but also highlight the growing interest and engagement from both academic and industry communities in the development of fin-tech.
