Overview

Dr Wenjie Ding is an Associate Professor of Finance at the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University. She joined Sun Yat-sen University in 2022. She is a CFA charterholder and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Dr Ding received her PhD from Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University.

Dr Ding’s research agenda focuses on three main areas of finance: Behavioral Finance, Asset Pricing, and Corporate Governance. Her research has been published in internationally recognised academic journals, including the Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of International Money and Finance, Quantitative Finance etc. Her ongoing research draws on large-scale textual analysis, international datasets, and modern empirical methods to study how information, narratives, political environments influence investors, firms, and financial markets from the behavioral finance perspective.
