UK Education and Skills Delegation visited the School of Business

On September 8, 2026, Gary Hunt, Chief Commercial Consul of the British Consulate-General in Guangzhou, led a UK Education and Skills Delegation to visit the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University. Professor Dong Chunyu, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Sun Yat-sen University, and Associate Professor Ji Yang, Dean Assistant of the School of Business, attended the exchange event.

Subsequently, representatives from 14 renowned UK universities and industry associations, including Cambridge Judge Business School, UCL School of Management, and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), gave detailed introductions and shared insights on topics such as international cooperation programs and executive education and development programs.

During the discussion session, the two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including innovation in business curriculum systems in the AI era, interdisciplinary and versatile talent cultivation mechanisms, deep industry-education integration models, and the establishment of a long-term China-UK cooperation mechanism. Both sides agreed to maintain close communication, actively pool resources, and jointly promote the implementation of cooperation intentions.
