300 students compete for limited spots, and 26 entrepreneurs join as industry mentors: From the "Entrepreneur Academy" to Cultivating an Entrepreneurial Spirit
On October 16, 2025, the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University held the appointment ceremony for industry mentors of its undergraduate program at the East Campus in Guangzhou. The highly anticipated "Entrepreneur Academy" project-based course was officially launched.

What makes this course attract over 300 studentsapplication?
The “Entrepreneur Academy” is not a conventional course; it does not rely on fixed textbooks or follow a standardized curriculum. Instead, its core framework is Project-Based Learning (PBL), in which students work in five-member teams to complete authentic business projects over a 16-week period under the direct mentor-ship of an experienced entrepreneur.
The course design reflects a strategic emphasis on "high standards and premium resourcing". The school has invited26 entrepreneurial mentors, each serving as a Founder, Chairman, or General Manager ofenterprises, thereby ensuring that the mentor-ship is both high-caliber and grounded in real-world business experience.
The course registration was open for just one day, and drew enthusiastic applications from over 60 teamsand more than 300 studentsacross the Guangzhou and Shenzhen campuses. Ultimately, 26 cross-disciplinary and multi-year student teams stood out, and will directly apply what they have learned in class to real-world industrial challenges over the course of a semester.
