Professor Wang Fan - Dean of Our School, Gave a Special Lecture at Zhanjiang No.1 Middle School

On the afternoon of March 19th, 2022, Professor Wang Fan, President Assistant of Sun Yat-sen University and Dean of the School of Business, was invited to give a special lecture on "Management Innovation in the Era of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence" in Zhanjiang No. 1 Middle School.

Professor Wang Fan cited specific examples from ancient and modern times at home and abroad to analyze the development and changes of the digital era, from Sun-Tzu: The Art of Warfare to the strategic management framework of enterprises, from the birth of computers and the Internet to the leap of the Metaverse era. These series of changes show that human beings have entered the era of big data for all. In the lecture, Professor Wang Fan focused on how to cultivate the core competitiveness of university students in the Metaverse era. He said it is necessary to use the integrated model of the first and second classrooms, personality cultivation and teaching reform, combine theory with practice, and focus on both physical and self-cultivation, so as to promote academic development and improve research and academic abilities.

In the interactive question-and-answer session, the students spoke enthusiastically, and asked questions about study, professional development, career choice, and confusion in life. Professor Wang Fan answered them one by one from his own experience and understanding of future development. The atmosphere was very enthusiastic.
