管理学院“管理学杰出学者论坛”第四讲

Dr. Peter Song is currently Full Professor in the School of Public Health, University of Michigan. He received his PhD degree in Statistics from University of British Columbia in 1996. Prior to the appointment of professorship at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, he served as faculty in University of Waterloo and York University in Canada. Dr. Song is an elected member of International Statistical Institute. He is now Associate Editor of Statistica Sinica, Canadian Journal of Statistics, Sankhya, and a Co-Guest Editor of Statistics and Its Interface. His currently research is funded by multiple grants from National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health. Dr. Song has published over 70 articles in top-tier statistical and biomedical journals, including a single-authored monograph "Correlated Data Analysis: Modeling, Analytics and Applications" by Springer. Some of his published works have been reported by CNN, the Wall Street Journal and CBS.

汪寿阳教授，博士，中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员、副院长，中国科学院预测科学研究中心主任、中国科学院大学管理学院执行院长。兼任中国系统工程学会理事长、国际知识与系统科学学会理事长、国际金融风险管理协会副会长、亚太工业工程与管理学会理事、中国管理现代化研究会副理事长、国务院学位委员会学科评议组成员、国家杰出青年基金评审委员会委员、国家博士后专家管理委员会委员等, 以及任包括中山大学在内的国内外30余所知名大学的兼职教授或名誉教授。现为第三世界科学院院士、国际知识与系统科学院院士。
汪寿阳教授在决策分析、金融管理、物流与供应链管理、经济分析与预测等领域做出了一批得到国际同行高度好评和政府决策部门高度重视的研究工作。出版专著25部（包括在Springer-Verlag出版英文专著12部）、在欧美重要期刊上发表论文250余篇（SCI和SSCI收录230余篇，SCI和SSCI引用愈1700篇次），向中央提交政策研究报告140余篇（50余篇得到国家主要领导人的批示和好评）。部分成果先后获得省部委科技进步奖/自然科学奖一等奖4次、二等奖6次、三等奖3次，还获得了复旦管理学杰出贡献奖、中国青年科技奖、国家杰出青年基金等以及Green Group Award of Financial Computation and Business Intelligence等多项国际学术奖励，以及在1996年入选中国科学院“百人计划”和第一批入选国家人事部“百千万人才计划”。由于他的重要学术成就和广泛影响，先后被16种国际重要期刊（包括国际顶级期刊Energy Economics和Information and Management等）和12种国内重要期刊聘请为主编、领域主编、副主编或编委。
汪寿阳教授在人才培养方面也成绩突出,他指导的博士研究生和博士后中先后有4人获得了全国优秀博士学位论文奖, 5位获得了全国优秀博士学位论文提名奖, 5人获得了中国科学院优秀博士学位论文奖, 8获得了国家博士后基金特别奖励。他本人多次被国务院学位委员会和教育部联合授予"全国优秀博士学位论文指导教师"称号.

主题1：Optimizing Organ Exchange System – Celebrating the 2012 Nobel Prize in Economics

Abstract:
The 2012 Nobel Prize in Economics is awarded to Alvin E. Roth and Lloyd S. Shapley for the theory of stable allocations and the practice of market design. The most influential work made by Alvin Roth was his seminal theory of matching organ donors with patients. This novel empirical study has provided and enhanced Shapley's basic theory and the application of Gale-Shapley algorithm in medical practice of organ exchanges. In this talk, I will first present an overview of Alvin Roth's classical static organ exchange system, including graphic formulation and integer programming optimization. I will then introduce our recent work on probabilistic organ exchange systems and optimal strategies of matching organs from living donors with biologically unrelated recipients. Through various microsimulation models, I will show that our new organ donation system outperforms Roth's organ donation system. This is a joint work with Jack Kalbfleisch, John Li, Yanhua Chen, Yan Zhou, Alan Leitchman, and Michael Rees.
