Research Directions

Based on the featured advantages and development needs of discipline construction, the “Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation” research team focuses on the key constructions in the following directions: Global entrepreneurship and innovation of emerging multinationals; Family business: inheritance, governance and family entrepreneurship; Organizational change and leader behavior; Industrial clusters and innovation drive.

The future research directions of the “Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation” research team will focus on the following three aspects: Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and innovative entrepreneurship; Longevity family enterprises: inheritance and innovation; Strategic decision-making and organizational change.

Team Profile

The “Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation” research team consists of a group of well-known scholars at home and abroad as well as young and middle-aged faculties with international education background and good academic potential. Professor Li Xinchun - Chang Jiang Scholar, as the team leader of the “Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation” research team, is one of the leader scholars in the research field of strategy and innovation and family business management in China, and founded the China Family Business Research Center in 1999. Professor Jeffery Reuer, professor Garry Bruton and other distinguished professors of our school are top international scholars in the fields of strategic management, international business and entrepreneurship, with extensive academic influence. Yong scholars, such as professor Zhang Shujun, professor Zhu Hang, associate professor Li Weiwen, associate professor Chen Bin, associate professor Qin Xin, etc. grew up in the research of the “Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation” research team. In the past five years, the “Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation” research team has published more than 40 articles in top international magazines, such as Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Management Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, etc. In recent years, the members of the “Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation” research team have presided over 30 national-level projects, including 2 key projects of Natural Science Fund of China and 1 key international (regional) cooperative research project, and won 45 provincial and ministerial awards successively, including the 3 Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Awards of Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education and 1 National Teaching Achievement Award for Higher Education.
