Why should business researchers study logic (and philosophy)?

Brief outline of the seminar
In this seminar, I argue that there is a need for business, not only management, researchers to receive more training in logic and perhaps philosophy as well. It is because the current training in this respect is far from sufficient although most of us have a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) degree. To support my point, I present examples of glaring errors of argument made by prominent scholars in management, marketing, and management information systems. At the end of the seminar, I give a brief example in the topic of IPO underpricing to show how logic helps our research.
I hope the seminar will be an interactive one, with active participation by the audience. To achieve that purpose, I encourage potential participants to read the following references beforehand:
