Sun Yat-Sen Business School (SYSBS), one of the top business schools in China, invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the rank of Associate Professor and Full Professor in the Department of Business Administration (e.g., strategic management, organizational behavior, human resources management, international business, entrepreneurship, hospitality management, service management etc.), Accounting, Finance and Investment, Marketing, and Management Science (including operations management). Sabbatical leave faculty from internationally reputed schools are also welcome to teach at SYSBS as visiting professors on a contractual basis.      

THE UNIVERSITY: With its longstanding tradition in arts, sciences, business administration, medicine, and engineering, Sun Yat-Sen University is recognized as one of the nation’s top universities in China. SYSU is located in Guangzhou, China’s third largest city, neighboring Hong Kong and Macro. SYSU has at present a combined faculty of over 13,600, with 42 schools and 8 affiliated hospitals. THE SCHOOL: Established in 1985, SYSBS offers a broad range of business degree programs. SYSBS became the first business school to be instituted by an overseas foundation and one of the first schools to be engaged in business education in Mainland China. SYSBS has been internationally accredited by AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB, the second business school in mainland China that has received all three major international accreditations. Its EMBA was ranked #11 (2012) and Master’s in Management #44 (2013) worldwide by FT. In 2013, its business programs at all levels were tied for the second best nationwide awarded by the central government. The School currently has 109 full-time faculty working in six departments and teaching nearly 2,000 undergraduate students and 2,500 graduate students (including over 200 doctoral students). JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should meet the following minimum qualifications:

1. Applicants should hold a doctorate degree in a relevant field together with a proven ability to conduct high-quality research. At the Associate professor level, candidates should have evidence of, or the potential for, an excellent and sustainable record of research. At the Full Professor level, candidates should have an outstanding record of publications in internationally respected journals and of academic impact.

2. Applicants should demonstrate teaching excellence as indicated by teaching assessments or letters of recommendations.
