In 2017

Business Administration ranked Top 1(A+ level) national wide by Ministry of Education.

The first batch of undergraduate business administration passed the undergraduate professional certification of the Ministry of Education. 

Business Administration is listed as the "double first-class" (world-class university and world-class discipline) university project recommended by the Ministry of Education

In 2014

The International Business program for Bachelor's Degree was launched.Business School,Sun Yat-sen University

In 2013

Business School,Sun Yat-sen University has received the accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB);

In 2011

Business School,Sun Yat-sen University was approved by the Ministry of Education to be one of the first seventeen pilot institutions.

Business School,Sun Yat-sen University has received the accreditation from the European Quality Improvement System, (EQUIS);

In 2010

Business School,Sun Yat-sen University has received the accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA);

In 2007

the Business Administration was recognized as a national key discipline, making Sun Yat-Sen University be one of the five Chinese universities that received such recognition.

In 2005

The Department of Management Science was added.

It was authorized to confer doctoral degrees of first-level discipline in Management Science and Engineering.

In 2004

Business School,Sun Yat-sen University was one of the first Schools offering professional degree programs MPAcc(Masster of Accounting) and MPM.(Master of Project Managment).

In 2002

Business School,Sun Yat-sen University was one of the first institutions in China that offers EMBA program.

The Department of Finance and Investment was added.

In 2001

Business Administration was approved to be a national key discipline.

Post-doctoral program in Business Administration was launched.

It was authorized to confer doctoral degrees in Business Administration.

In 1988

The Department of Auditing, and the Department of Hospitality and Service Management were established.

In 1985

A donation of HK$20 million was made by Dr. Ho Sin Hang, a Hong Kong entrepreneur, philanthropist and financier, to help establish the Business School upon the establishment of Ho's Education Foundation.

The establishment of Sun Yat-sen Business School was approved by the State Education Commission, with a department of Business Administration offering programs of business administration, auditing, and foreign trade accounting.

In 1983

The Department of Business Administration was established.

In 1981

Sun Yat-Sen University launched the undergraduate program of business administration as one of the earliest universities offering the program in China.
